“I have been at FedEx Office at 3 a.m., setting up for a print the next day, or picking up from FedEx Office at 5 a.m.” says Juliana. Owning a business means being available around the clock. Being able to print customer’s ideas and bringing them to life is a crucial process in Juliana’s line of work. “It’s a powerful medium in working with people sharing ideas, thoughts and concept” says Juliana.

Juliana states that one of the biggest misconceptions about owning a business is overcoming a “lifestyle,” meaning having to work, be a mom, but not working too much. However, learning the importance of running a business taught her many lessons as a first year owner and CEO. “It was an incredibly rich year for my own personal growth, probably one of the biggest years of my career” said Juliana.

Below are six tips Oxygen owner Juliana Stancampiano encourages other small business owners to use:

  1. Create a relationship at your local FedEx Office store- they will help you help others. Know that presenting ideas, concepts on a slide doesn’t have the same impact as a shiny folder, a binder or a beautifully bound workbook.
  2. Surround yourself with people that want to help you be successful
  3. Don’t do everything on your own
  4. Ask for help
  5. Expect high quality from everyone
  6. Be nice and treat people like humans
